Dante network audio interface with two-way USB connectivity
Overview
The Dante 2×2 USB Adapter enables integration between a Dante audio network and a computer via USB. It provides two channels of Dante audio into the computer and two channels back out, acting as a bridge for DAW, conferencing software or recording systems. It supports full-duplex operation, low latency, and seamless synchronization with Dante clocking.
Description
This adapter connects to a computer’s USB 2.0 port (also backward compatible with USB 1.1) and presents itself as a 2-in/2-out audio interface. On the network side, it maps those channels to/from Dante streams with support for 24-bit audio at 48 kHz. Latency can be set (for example 1 ms, 2 ms, 5 ms) depending on network conditions. It is powered via PoE (802.3af) and typically consumes around 3 W. Operating range is standard –5 °C to +55 °C; storage from –25 °C to +70 °C. Its compact form factor and light weight allow it to be placed in racks or near end devices without visual disruption.
